History

Founded in 1930

The Chagrin Valley Little Theatre began as a group of local performers in November of 1930.  The group has presented live theatrical performances for 96 consecutive seasons.  The organizations became  incorporated in 1944 and  was granted tax-exempt non-profit status in 1949.  In 1948, nearly 600 local families raised $36,000 to construct our current 248 seat theater.

In 2006 we purchased an adjacent building, which allowed us to comply with the 1991 Americans with Disabilities Act by adding ramps to accommodate actors and patrons with special needs.
